August 31. Centrum Air has announced the expansion of its fleet with a long-term leasing contract for the Airbus A321neo. The new aircraft, model A321-271NX with state-of-the-art LEAP-1A engines and registration number UK32131, has successfully tested all aircraft systems in a test flight. Eldar Khamdeev, Chief Pilot of the Company, took the place of the aircraft commander in this flight.
On August 31, the aircraft flew to the country of destination, Uzbekistan, landing at the Islam Karimov International Airport in Tashkent late at night.
The airline continues to actively develop and strengthen its position in the international air transportation market of Uzbekistan.
The new model of the airplane has two additional fuel tanks, which will allow the airline to perform long-distance flights of 7000 km. The geography of flights will be significantly expanded.
The new airplane has the most modern seats, which are characterized by increased seat pitch in comparison with competitors, improved design and installed power connectors (USB Type C and Type A) for passengers' personal devices. The cabin is equipped with a modern system of content distribution via Wi-Fi company “Panasonic”. The cabin has an innovative Cabin Flex design, which allows to increase the number of passengers on board, increase the number of toilets, reduce the total weight of the aircraft and make air transportation more economical. Centrum Air has also implemented an original solution: the inscription “Centrum-air.com” is placed not only on the side of the fuselage, but also on the underside of the airplane so that the airline's name is visible during takeoff and landing.
“Today we celebrate two holidays at once - the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the arrival of our new Airbus A321neo, the eleventh aircraft in our rapidly growing fleet. This is a significant event not only for Centrum Air, but also for aviation in Uzbekistan. The arrival of the new airplane is the beginning of a new stage of the airline's development, which will allow us to increase the number of destinations and passenger traffic from other countries to Uzbekistan. The newest modern interior, economical engines will significantly improve comfort and cost of services provided on board,” said Centrum Air CEO Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov.
The cooperation with Airbus opens new opportunities for Centrum Air, giving the company access to advanced technologies and innovative solutions. The agreement emphasizes Centrum Air's commitment to sustainable development in the aviation industry.
