Centrum Air launches direct air service between Uzbekistan and Sri LankaTashkent, 28 October 2026. Centrum Air has operated its inaugural flight from Tashkent to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (Hambantota, HRI) in southern Sri Lanka. The flight marks the start of regular direct air service between the two countries.The new route is one of the highlights of the airline's winter schedule and gives travellers from Uzbekistan convenient access to one of South Asia's most popular tropical destinations.The first flight was given a festive welcome. At Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, passengers and crew were greeted by representatives of the airline, the airport and local authorities. The arrivals area was decorated with celebratory banners marking the launch of the new route.The highlight of the ceremony was a celebration cake dedicated to the launch.
